ENDERBY, BC – Julie Warhusrt, owner of Cobwebs Antiques & Gifts in
Enderby, BC is retiring and closed her store on December 31, 2010. Since
April 14, 1997, Cobwebs has been a fixture on Hwy 97A at the south end
of town, 35km north of Vernon.
The shop offered a unique selection of antiques and collectibles, along
with gifts and homemade crafts. Several times in the past few years,
Cobwebs had been a finalist in the antique store category of the
Okanagan Life Magazine’s Best in the Okanagan Reader’s Choice Awards.
Julie published and circulated an Antique Shop Directory brochure,
complete with maps, to help promote treasure tourism in the Okanagan
Valley.
She plans to keep her hands in the antiques industry, doing shows in
BC’s interior and attending related events.
Treasures wishes Julie all
the best in her new adventures.
<-- Seen at our last visit to Cobwebs: A 1930’s distressed kitchen cupboard/pie safe from the old hotel in Greenwood, BC. The screens in the cupboard are recycled veranda window screens previously removed and saved from Julie’s 1912 home in Vernon.
